I am partially to blame for my back not healing, I work on my basement and garden. I am allowed to ride and have been, but racing has not been working out. I am trying to strike a balance with all of my commitments and interests. Finishing the basement is key to getting my life back in order. It is getting closer. The bathroom is functional the shower surround should be fulling installed this week then it is just trim work which I like. The bedroom is painted and foundation sealed (keeping my fingers crossed) I need to level the floor and install the hardwoods and trim. The rest is office and hallway mud and paint then flooring in the remainder of the basement. It all depends on how much I can do each evening , many I can't do any. Others I want to ride or head out to the track. I think I will do ok at the track, with my back shorter distances don't cause as much fatigue but then again I won't know how my back is until I try it. Hoping for the best.
My yard is looking amazing! I spent most of Sunday edging and cleaning things up a bit. All of the seeds I planted last year have taken hold and are growing well this season. The yard was bare and ugly when I moved in now it has color everywhere and feels like it is becoming mine. I have tons of different flowers and every time I go to the nursery I manage to find more that I want to add. Keeping little mental notes of what they are and where they could go. Looking forward to my next big project once the basement is done. I want a patio surrounded by flowers and plants. Then it's the vegetable garden... should take some time to chill out and let my back rest though.
